Frequently Asked Questions

  • We are transparent with our prices. They are all available on our ‘shop’ page.

Our lineup starts at $25,000 CAD with the L880. Unlike some other front-loaders and tractors, all our vehicles come with a bucket. It is ready to be used off the truck.

Our products are generally cheaper than competing diesel-powered vehicles before even accounting for fuel savings.

Note that we require a deposit on some orders. Sometimes the price listed is the deposit price, which should be made clear in the product description.

  • We use freight companies to ship equipment from Ontario to Nova-Scotia. Freight charges per machine vary and we can get a quote to you if you reach out to us with your desired order and your zip code.

We also offer local pickup if you have a suitable trailer and would like to make the drive to our location in Shawinigan, Quebec, Canada.

  • You can find technical specifications for our loaders and other machines on the product pages. For example, the tech specs for the L880 loader can be found further down the page here: https://www.nesherequipment.ca/l880

  • When you’re ready to make an order, you can proceed to store page and place it or reach out to us on our Contact Us page with your desired order and shipping location so that we can prepare a freight quote for you. (We can also arrange a local pickup for free in Shawinigan, Quebec, Canada, if you are equipped to).

We try to keep most of our machines in stock, but due to high demand and long production/transit times, we are often out of stock for a few weeks at a time.

If your machine is in stock, you can make payment and we’ll get your machine out to you in just a few days, though shipping may take a couple of weeks during high demand periods when we are shipping out several machines in a short period of time.

If your machine is currently out of stock, we can take a deposit to reserve your machine, then complete the balance payment and ship it to you as soon as it arrives.

  • The only thing more important than a good and hardworking machine is a good and hardworking company to stand behind it. That's the only way we know how to operate.

Our machines are built to be robust, but any work machine can eventually needs parts and support. We stock spare parts for nearly every component in our Canadian warehouse. For anything we don't currently have on hand, we can get it to you directly from our factory in a matter of days, not weeks.

In all of the machines deployed around the US in the last two years, we've only ever had to send out a couple of spare parts to fix a broken component. Each time, the part was there a couple of days later to get our customer back in action.

  • Nesher is a family-owned company located in Florida and Nesher Canada, the Canadian distributor, is owned by a friend of the family. We don't have a nationwide network of service centers (though good luck getting service from a John Deere center for their machines anytime soon, either).

However, a major advantage of NESHER's machines is that they are relatively simple to work on, and most folks that are relatively handy can perform service themselves. These aren't heavily computerized machines and there is very little maintenance to perform compared to diesel tractors.

All of the mechanical systems, such as the hydraulics, can easily be worked on by any local mechanic or tractor repair center. The electronics are also simple and many service centers are now familiar with electric motors and controllers due to the proliferation of electric forklifts and other machinery. But even working on the electronics is fairly simple for owners, and can often be a matter of just unplugging connectors to swap out a component.

  • For now, we have three sizes of front-end loaders: our L880, which has an 880-lb lift capacity, our L1400, which has a 1,400-lb lift capacity, and our L2500, which has a 2,500-lb lift capacity. We are currently evaluating other potential machines, and are expanding our lineup when we feel a machine adds value. We won't offer a machine or an attachment that we don't believe in and aren't proud to stand behind.

  • For now, we are stocking the following attachments for our loaders: General purpose buckets, pallet forks, augers, excavators, snow plows, grapples, and 4-in-1 buckets. We are currently evaluating other attachments like Snowblowers, and may add to the list soon.

  • Probably not, unfortunately. Our loaders don’t use a standard attachment plate due to the inclusion of our convenient quick hitch that allows you to swap attachments from your seat. This means our attachments are made to specifically fit our loaders and ensures that all attachments work perfectly on our machines.

  • You do what you want, but would you leave your lawn mower or power tools outside?

Like just about any tractor or tool, outdoor storage will degrade a machine and cause it to wear more quickly. NESHER’s electric loaders and excavators are best stored indoors, such as in a barn, shop, warehouse, shipping container, etc. They should not be stored outdoors for extended periods of time, and should not be exposed to rain or allowed to accumulate snowfall on the machine.

If parked outside, they should be covered by a roof structure to sufficiently protect them from the elements such as rain, hail, snow, intense UV, etc. Carports can work well, though we recommend a carport or shed with siding or tarp side walls to prevent heavy rains from blowing through.

  • Our loaders use AGM batteries, similar to many golf cart batteries, though quite a bit bigger.

With proper care (i.e. not abusing the batteries or leaving them discharged for long periods of time), they should last for many years of use.

If you do ever need to change them, replacements are available at local home improvement stores like Home Depot, or online from retailers like Amazon. We can also provide you with replacement batteries, but to be honest, it's probably more economical to simply purchase the heavy batteries locally than to ship them. We can even help you source the right ones if you're unsure about matching the specs printed on the batteries.

This is one of the reasons we haven't used lithium batteries in our loaders, in order to make them easier for owners to source and work on themselves. The heavy AGM batteries also serve as counterweight, meaning simply switching to lithium batteries would actually reduce the loaders' performance by lowering their lift capacities.
